BB117 Topper Brim Block

A very victorian and well-curved topper brim block copied from an original.

This block is designed to allow you to block a top hat in one piece of felt – something that is not normally possible because you cannot push the top hat crown through the hole in the brim. In this case, the brim is made in two halves that can separate.

First, block your crown. Now the brim halves can go around the blocked crown, allowing you to block a felt capeline. Tie the capeline into the brim’s string groove. The brim block halves are held together simply by the pressure of the string as you tie in the felt.

The legs come as standard with this particular block.

Other blocks such as BB86, BB46 and BB72 can also be made as separating brims for an additional £55 with legs or £35 without legs for use with a brim stand.
