Every month we offer a discount on one of our popular designs and this month it is the small saucer block FB7. Over the years we’ve sold many of these to our customers and seen some very varied creations. A fantastic example of what can be done with this block is the hat below from Aoife Kirwan Millinery.
As with many of our saucer blocks, this one comes with a presser and it couldn’t be more simple to block. The sinamay is draped over the block and the presser held in place with a weight. You then simply pin the rest of the material down the sides or underneath. After blocking the shape you achieve by cutting can produce many different results.
